RichTrove: 2012 Intl Ms Leather Opening Number (by RichTrove)
This is the powerful performance that was dedicated to all who have died and survived hate crime. <3
I can’t believe this shit needs to be said but I’m glad that Mollena is on top of it.
The IMsL Time Continuum
Well folks, the IMsL Time bending has been on-going. Hours disappear in minutes, minutes in seconds and then we are all bleary eyed, happily shuffling along, awake on our feet, incapable of coherent thought. So there will be an IMsL break down- post IMsL coming to this blog very soon. For now I am signing off.
Rio- Pop Question
“This is not a funny question, this is a tragedy. But if I had to pick one…
A dildo- you can hit people with it. You can fuck people with it three different ways. What else do you need? “
Any inaccuracies are due to typing in the dark.
Live International Ms Leather and 2912 International Ms Bootblack
I’m sitting in the ballroom watching the beginning of this year’s contest. This is a beautiful performance dedicated to all of those who have survived hate crimes and to those who have not. After the enactment of a hate crime, we see, one by one, people coming forward with t-shirts with words like Dyke, Strong, Free and Bliss on them.

Last night’s IMsL Show- Seduction was everything I’ve heard it to be and more. Mind bending, juicy, fun, sexy and boisterous. The delicious MC, legendary burlesque diva, *Alotta Boutté kept the show moving, the crowd yelling and she vamped with several of the performers.
The show was not just well done it was diverse. There was all kinds of beauty and swagger on the stage and in many flavors- color, gender and body type were not singular in type. I loved the wild diverse tease and the response of the crowd.
There were demure acts, bold acts with in your face attitude and some amazingly well done scene performances. Lots of tease and plenty of skin. My favorite part was watching cool looking leather butches and trans men literally running to the stage, dollar bills in hand, or in mouth. There was some serious action in the interaction between performers and the audience.
My other favorite part was when I briskly **walked with my last dollar to place in Q’s left Levi pocket. Yes I have a little thing for Q. Who wouldn’t? And there are times you just have to put your last dollar in a hot pocket.
* A great interview with Alotta Boutté from the past
** I’m not running unless someone is chasing me with a hatchet.
